Dexter Reseaters handle a wide range of sizes of globe and gate type valves. Using a Dexter power-driven gate or globe valve reseater, one worker can regrind a valve seat in line. Pneumatically powered through a chain and sprocket transmission, Dexter gate valve reseaters will grind any valve regardless of material hardness.
Globe Valve Reseaters are powered through a gear transmission, and by grinding from the same 'reference point' used in making the original seat, to guarantee accuracy in reseating irregular seats. The grinding head of the gate valve reseater is located on a universal joint, and automatically seeks and holds the plane of the valve seat.
